Specializing in communications and media as well as non-for-profit development work. Ms. Simpson is a graduate of Howard University, and has a certificate in Shakespeare from The British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England on the campus of Oxford University. (where she became a Christian). Her first job was with Young Playwrights Theater in Washington DC (Jennifer Nelson ACT).
She has traveled with Marie Brooks pan Caribbean dance theater to Ghana, performed in various local productions in Washington DC, and worked as a production assistant with HBO Films( Gina Prince Bythewood) and other well known production companies.
She has experience with grassroots community organizations and has served as the Director/assistant art coordinator for the Harlem Horizon Art Studio, a non-for-profit program In Harlem Hospital at Columbia University, Advisory Board Member of Fresh Art and non-for-profit Harlem Textile Works.
With an interest and knowledge of development and international affairs, Ms. Simpson has Volunteered in Nigeria, Guyana, and Mexico on humanitarian and evangelistic outreach.
She has written for the WARCRY magazine, EEW Magazine, Examiner.com, and Heart and Soul Magazine. She currently publishes her own website and blog on Medium about current affairs and women’s issues.
In her "spare time", Ms. Simpson is a PT Front-End Web Designer
